The European Big League Tour 2013
The Dutch Major Leaguer Rick van den Hurk and his European Big League Tour (EBLT) return to The Netherlands.The fourth edition of the EBLT is not only providing free clinics in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, but also in London, United Kingdom.

The participants in the clinic will be trained by Major League Players in the art of fielding, pitching catching and batting. They also get the opportunity to ask all their questions about 'life in the Big League' during a Question and Answer. At each clinic-station the Big Leaguers will receive help from players from the Dutch National Team.

How the European Big League Tour started
During the 2008 and 2009 season, MLB-player Rick van den Hurk wanted to turn his dream into reality. He wanted to organize free baseball clinics with All-Stars from Major League Baseball for kids in his home country of The Netherlands and the rest of Europe.

With these clinics, the resident from Eindhoven wanted to promote his sport in Europe and give something back to the beautiful game of baseball, which brought him to the highest level of play of his 'American dream'. Next to that, kids could make their dream come true: practice next to players from MLB.

Taekwondo athletes from dozens of countries will compete on the 39th edition of the Dutch Open.

The ABN AMRO Marathon Rotterdam has been the biggest one-day sporting event in the Netherlands for 13 years in a row. The world's top athletes will be at the start on the bustling Coolsingel, alongside thousands of other runners who will also triumph, each in their own unique way. The marathon weekend is a wonderful blend of (top) sport and festival. No other marathon in the Netherlands can match the atmosphere in Rotterdam; 925,000 spectators along the course make the party complete.

Sammy Kitwara (26) is the first international top athlete registered for the 33^rd ABN AMRO Marathon Rotterdam. The Kenyan has got a personal record of 2.05.54!

The final of the NBB Cup Tournament for women will be held on Saturday March 23th in Topsportcentrum Rotterdam. Sports Challenge/CBV Binnenland Rotterdam and ProBuild Lions, who are the finalists, play for the "Carla de Liefde" trophy, one of the best women basketball players ever in Dutch basketball history. The final starts at 7.30 pm.

Before the start of the final match, the wheelchair cup final (2.30 pm) and the final for women U-20 (5 pm) will be played in Rotterdam.

Lekdetec.nl, located in Bemmel, is the last winner of the "Carla de Liefde" trophy.
