Thanks to Rotterdam's training facilities and the growing number of top-level sports clubs, the city strongly appeals to top athletes. It is not surprising that there are several Rotterdam athletes among our national, world and Olympic champions. In turn, their performance has an irresistible attraction on young people in Rotterdam.

Events

Guiding, supporting and the acquisition of top-level sporting events with a view to generating as much promotional and economic spin-off as possible for the city of Rotterdam. The organisation of the event should also promote the sport in question.

City marketing

In 2016, Rotterdam will be one of Europe's most well-known sports cities. Rotterdam will serve as an example for the Dutch sports culture as a city that has been lifted toward the Olympic status.
